A lot of MMOs incorporate crafting into the game as a unique way to differ yourselves from the general populus and create custom armor with custom stats of your choosing. This kind of thing has always caught my interest, I love the idea of everyone being different. So, let's talk equipment.

The equipment system for NNG has always been boring in my opinion, and the chance to make a better one sounds both fun and somewhat challenging. Here's what I had in mind.  I was thinking I'd split armor into categories. For example, you'd have a head slot, a body slot, a legs slot, and a feet slot. So you can have 4 different pieces of armor on. Body would give the most stats obviously, following by legs, followed by head, followed by feet. The armor would give any of the following stats: health, chakra, health regen, chakra regen, attack speed, attack power, ninjutsu power, defense, critical strike rate, accuracy, and dodge. No one piece of armor will give all of these stats at once. For example, Shadow Guard Armor would give +15 attack power and +15% attack speed. That's just an example, most likely not the exact thing it'd give. Different parts of different sets can be worn. Blood Exile Feet with Shadow Guard Body can be worn, so you can make your own look. Different sets will most likely give more of specific stats. For example, the Shadow Guard set could focus on attack power, whereas Blood Exile set could focus on health. Each piece of armor will have a durability of 100%, which lowers as you take damage. The stats given by the armor lower as the durability does. This is to encourage the constant flow of armor, the strive to obtain better armor, and give ryo a better use. Some sets of armor will only be obtained by completing certain "quests" or missions.

Now, for crafting. This is where I think we'll have the most fun. You'll be able to take your armor sets, and craft them to improve them. For example, you could take a Blood Exile Body, gather some other materials that will be listed later, and create a Blood Exile Body +1. The Blood Exile Body +1 will have better stats and a stronger durability than the regular Blood Exile Body. You can then take your Blood Exile Body +1 and turn it into a Blood Exile Body +2, again stronger stats and stronger durability. You can repeat this process until you have a Blood Exile Body +5. When you reach +5, you no longer have to worry about durability decay, and the armor will be at it's strongest point. The Kage suits cannot be crafted, and they'll naturally be stronger than any +5 piece of armor.

Edit: wait, i just realized i wouldnt be able to wear my blue vest and red coat at the same time unless one ended up being something other than chest slot...

But.. How do you limit this not to be broken, and please don't answer with anyone can do it. Some clans scale harder than other with some stats, it's the limitations that can keep them in check.. A larger, but slightly less intense point is can we have 'visual' armour/ I.e. clothing, i really don't want my 'look' to be destroyed after a couple of fights, or even to make my build redundant because i'm gaining nin on my strength based character.. If that makes sense? So please allow a 'show' verb, that we can wear aesthetics over our sperginess.

Will it be possible, in the crafting section, to include a possible stat transfer system?

Said system could allow for stats of one piece to be transferred to another. The condition(s) being that the piece obtaining the stats can't have already gone through this process nor have stats already.

This would allow for people to still wear what they'd like, in terms of normal clothing, while keeping the stats of the equipment they worked to get.

So what you mean is like clothes not having specific effects but like a Linking System. It would basically be like you finding items and adding it to your clothes like let's say you find a Red Orb on the floor and you go to a Linking NPC you will add (x atkpower) to your clothes. and each clothing item will be able to hold up to 1 - 2 linking enhancement slots.

Is that what you mean Maurice?

Not exactly.

I mean, using blood armor as an example, we are capable of fusing it into pieces of clothing that has no stats.

Said piece of clothing would then take on the stats that the blood armor had.

So, if it was equation, it would look like this.

Blue coat(no stats) + blood armor(with stats) = Blue coat(with ba stats)
