PostSubject: NNG Rules 06/20/2016   NNG Rules 06/20/2016 I_icon_minitimeMon Jun 20, 2016 8:25 pm

General Rules:

1. Do not use names that are; blank, offensive, unnecessarily long. You will be subject to a random change.
(Also, avoid putting HTML in your names and/or titles, leave that to GMs and enforcers IF they choose to.)

2. Do not abuse bugs, exploit glitches, cheat the system in anyway. Use common sense here, or you will be punished.

3. If you have a clothing/weapon/ability that belongs to a specific rank or clan that is not yours, then do not equip/use it.

4. Do not spawn kill. This includes the hospitals of the 3 villages, and the spawn in the iron village. Exercise common sense.

5. Do not spawn camp. Waiting by someone's spawn then chasing them down from there will now be considered spawn killing to avoid and potential confusion.
(You may be excused from the above two rules if you are attacked first, and you are only excused for the person who attacked you.)

6. Do not kill academy students. It is a PVP game, but they have extremely limited ways to defend theirselves. The only exception would be if they're in the way in a raid or if they're stopping you from completing a mission(Bandum Capture, Document Stealing)

7. Do not block exits and pathways with clay mines.

8. If you see something, say something. The GMs and Enforcers are only people on the other side of the screen. There will be times when they miss things. Players reporting rule violations and bugs could go a long way.

9. Do not hide in arena/tournaments/war. This includes transformation jutsu.

10. Do not teleport or lightning flash into the arena/tournaments/war.

11. Do not death avoid. This includes challenging people to arena while you're fighting/logging off while you're fighting/asking to be summoned by a staff member while you're fighting.

12. If you're going to accuse someone of something or make a point, provide evidence in the form of a screenshot/video/credible witnesses.

13. Do not trade kills or intentionally let people kill you aside from if you need to RB.

14. Do not kill your alts for any reason other than rebirthing.
Chat Rules:

1. Do not spam. Self explanitory.

2. Respect players and staff all the same. Behind the text, they're people. Don't say anything insulting or too personal with malicious intent. If you offend someone, it's on you.

3. Do not advertise. Advertising someone else's game on another game is obnoxious. If you want to play a game with your friends, PM them or contact them through the local chat feature or a radio.

4. Avoid using offensive language and slurs.

5. Do not post and inappropriate links in public chats.
Challenge Rules:

1. Each person can only challenge one person once every two days for a rank.

2. You can not challenge without a staff member spectating the challenge.

3. Do not let the challenger win. If you don't want the rank, resign and there will be a tournament to decide the next holder of the rank.

4. Do not let the rank holder win. If you purposely extend someone's grace period, you will be punished.

5. A rank hold can be challenged twice every 12 hours.
Leader Rules:

1. Act like a leader. Help your villages, play the game.
Do not:
-Log in to reset the timer.
-Log in to go AFK.
-Hide in the hospital to stop people's progression.
-Boot people without a valid reason.
-Mute people without a valid reason.

2. Do not drop your rank clothes for other players to wear.

3. Do not avoid challenges. Multiple cases of this will warrant a stripping of the rank.

4. Do not abuse the verbs you have as a leader. Be responsible.

5. If you can't be a leader, or don't want to be one, do not take the rank.

6. Leaders must hold their rank for a minimum of 24 hours.
GM Rules:

1. In most cases, your job is to help players and enforce the rules. Make sure to do this.

2. Your verbs are not to play with, use them responsibly.

3. Do not abuse. If you want to have fun, do not do it at anyone's expense, make sure the other parties are in on it.

4. Set an example, do not get sucked into any negativity.

5. Try not to take sides when there is a conflict between players.
Punishments

Each member of the staff is as unique as the situations in which these rules may be violated. That being said, there is no definite form of punishment, but it could range anywhere from a mute/jail to a boot/ban.

If you feel something should be added, or excluded, post below with your reasoning and this post may be edited.
