Snake Kusanagi stacks depleting

When I equip the kusanagi sword my stacks go up like they are supposed to do and cap at 10x stacks, but after a few seconds the stacks begin to go away counting down from 10x to 9x, 8x, etc. It's just a visual bug, I still have the 10x stacks, just thought I'd mention it.
