Well with this idea, I hope to bring more of a diverse feel along with the new elemental system that's in concept/process at the moment. Different Profession to support the crafting system. In this suggestion, there would be maybe four or five professions as posted below. Each has a form of leveling system in order to craft stronger and better items than the last.
In order for players to gain exp for said profession, each craft gives exp towards their respective professions. Higher and advanced crafts reward more exp gain towards the threshold to be promoted to the next level. There will also be a chance to gain more exp based on if you've made an item of poor, mediocre, ordinary, and superior quality. Poor being the lowest exp gain and Superior being the highest. Once players surpass the level for the items they craft, new items can be crafted for higher exp gain while still being able to gain moderate exp from previous levels.

Professions: Weapon Expert / Blacksmith, Poison Master, Chef, Scientist, Forbidden Arts

Weapon Expert / Blacksmith

With this profession, players are allowed to craft ninja tools such as more advanced kunais, shurikens, and many more.

Level 1:
EXP Threshold til next level: 1000 exp

Advanced Kunai: Create a bundle of five kunai's that can pierce through one target that travels slightly further than normal kunais. Deals bulk of damage at the start of the throw and dissipates the further it goes. Limit per stack is 30. (EXP gained per craft: RNG from 2-5.) 15~8+5% of attack power.

Advanced Shuriken: Create a bundle of five shurikens that can get stuck in targets and inflict a bleed debuff for 1 second dealing 15+2.5% of attack power every .5 seconds.( EXP gained per craft: RNG from 2-5)

Level 2:
EXP Threshold til next level 2500

Paper Bombs: Create a paperbomb that can be placed on the ground and set as a trap that explodes when stepped on dealing damage; 40+5% of attack power. (Only 3 paper bombs can be held at a time and a cooldown of 1 second when setting them.) (EXP Gained per craft: RNG from 5-10)

Caltrops: Create a bundle of five caltrops that when stepped on, flinching victims who step on them, dealing minimal damage. 10+5% of attack power. Limit of caltrops that can be set: 10 (EXP Gained Per Craft: RNG from 3-9)

Level 3:
EXP Threshold til next level: 4000

Paper Bomb attached Kunais: Create a kunai with a paper bomb attached to it that deals impact and explosion damage that knocks back victims 2 tiles.Only 10 can be held at a time.(Requirements: 3 paper bombs & 5 advanced kunai. Creates 1 explosive kunai) EXP gained per craft: RNG from 15-25)

Steel Wire Link: Craft a lengthy spool of steel wire that has many purposes. Can be used to limit someones area of movement if thrown towards a wall or tree. (EXP Gained per craft: RNG from 10-15)

Gas Sack: User Creates a burlap sack filled with gases that allow it to float at a specific height. Has no real purpose by itself. (EXP gained per craft: 10)

Gold Bullion: Send money via trader to a distant lands to trade and craft a block of pure gold that can be used to craft several useful tools and weaponry. (Costs $25 senryo and has a 30% chance of actually seeing end results. If failed, half senryo cost will be refunded.) EXP gained per craft: 55
Level 4:
EXP threshold til next level: 5500

Golden Kunai: Craft a kunai made of pure gold. Much harder than your regular or advanced kunais and deal slightly more damage the further it goes. (25~50+10% of attack power) EXP per craft: RNG from 25-40. Requirements: Advanced Kunai x3 + 5 Gold Bullion. (Creates 3 golden Kunais.) Only 10 can be held at a single time.

Explosive Kunai Gas Sack: As you get a deeper understanding of how explosions work, you combine kunais within a gas sack that explodes if touched after being set or after a certain elapsed time, sending five kunai in five different directions from original point. Deals explosion damage from sack and impact damage from kunais. Each kunai deals normal damage as from Advanced Kunais.  Explosion damage is static: 40.

I love the idea. Will definitely look into this and give it some thought.
